Michael Wesley Poa

Managing Partner

Mr. Poa specializes in criminal, civil and commercial litigation, taxation and special projects.

Mr. Poa received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines in 2018 where he graduated ninth (9th) of his batch. He became a member of the Philippine Bar in 2019. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree Major in Creative Arts and Italian Studies in Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia, in 2007, where he received a commendation from the Chancellor for outstanding academic performance. He was likewise inducted as a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society in the same year.

From 2010 to 2022, Mr. Poa served as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Trustees Dr. Alejandro R. Roces, Mr. Gregorio T. Yu, and General Alan R. Luga of the Government Service Insurance System (“GSIS”).

Mr. Poa served as Undersecretary and Chief of Staff of the Department of Education, as well as the Agency’s Spokesperson from July 2022 to 18 July 2024.

Anna Camille C. Himala

Partner

Ms. Himala has an extensive background in litigation, legislation, and public policy, having professional experience in both the private sector and government service. Her practice areas include litigation, dispute resolution, and corporate and special projects.

Ms. Himala received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines in 2018. She graduated in the top 10 of her class and was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence. She is also a member of the Order of the Purple Feather (UP Law Honors Society). She was a recipient of the Congressman Edcel C. Lagman scholarship (2013) and ACCRALAW-Violeta Calvo-Drilon scholarship (2014-2018), which are awarded to meritorious students for outstanding academic performance. In 2012, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication and graduated cum laude from the same university.

While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Himala served as a Legislative Staff Officer for the Office of Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri and Office of Senator Pia S. Cayetano. She performed legislative work and research, including drafting bills and resolutions, and contributed to the passage of landmark laws such as the Reproductive Health Act and Bangsamoro Organic Law. After being admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2019, she joined Divina Law Office as an Associate, and became the first in the firm’s litigation department to be promoted to Senior Associate in only two years.

In 2022, Ms. Himala was awarded a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for the Young Leaders Program (YLP) in Law. She earned her LL.M degree (Master of Laws) and European Union (EU) Studies Graduate Diploma from Kyushu University in 2023. In the same year, she joined One Asia Lawyers, a Japanese law firm with an extensive network in the ASEAN region. She advises foreign clients on Philippine laws relating to business establishment, foreign investment, labor and employment, data privacy, and corporate law.

Marc Angelo S. Virtucio

Partner

Mr. Virtucio is a lawyer, licensed architect, and professor. He is an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a Fellow of the Royal Institute (RI) of Singapore. His practice areas include building and construction law, property law, taxation, corporate and commercial law, special projects, and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Virtucio earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines in 2019. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the same university in 2010, graduating cum laude, and receiving the prestigious Philip H. Recto Design Excellence Award. He is also inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

In 2012 he co-founded, Emerging Architects Studio (EAST), which has grown to become one of the youngest recognized architectural design firms in the country. He continues to serve as its Managing Partner, while also teaching at the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Architecture.
